Saturday, August 17th

Conformation

Conformation Ring Fun Classes

Class 46: Tricks Non-sanctioned. Open to all breeds.
Judged on cuteness and fun factor. No entry fee. 
Class 47: Costume Non-sanctioned. Open to all breeds.
Dogs and/or owners are judged on cuteness and originality. No entry fee.

Agility

All dogs must be at least one year of age to compete in Agility or practice on any equipment.  For a complete set of rules, go to www.therealjackrussell.com/trial/agility.php

Miscellaneous Agility Non-sanctioned.

Class 142: Miscellaneous Agility I Off Lead
Open to all breeds other than JRTs and earthdogs.

Lure Coursing

This is a timed event in which the dog chases a lure in an enclosed, fenced course. Each class entry includes two runs. All runs must be run back to back.

Miscellaneous Lure Coursing

Class 178: Miscellaneous Dog Lure Coursing
Open to all breeds other than JRTs, Earthdogs and Shorties.
Class 179: Shorty Lure Coursing
Open to dogs 10 inches or less, six months or older.  

Barn Hunt

This timed event challenges the abilities of the canine and handler team to locate live rats enclosed in one or more tubes on a straw-bale course. For Rookie Barn Hunt, competitors will have two minutes to find one live rat tube on a course that will have three live rat tubes, two rat liter tubes, and one clean (empty) tube. For Hot Shot Barn Hunt, competitors will have three minutes to find all three live rat tubes on a course that will have three live rat tubes, two rat liter tubes, and one clean (empty) tube.

Rookie Barn Hunt

Open to all breeds other than JRTs and earthdogs. 

Hot Shot Barn Hunt .

Class 157: Miscellaneous Dog Hot Shot Barn Hunt
Open to all breeds other than JRTs and earthdogs.

Brush Hunt

Brush hunt is an above-ground hunting simulation held in a fenced area. One camouflaged tube containing a live rat is hidden within the brush area. Te challenge is for the terrier to use natural instincts to successfully locate and work the quarry. Terrier must work to find the quarry in the shortest amount of time. The clock starts when the judge is ready and signals you to release your dog at the gate. All four paws must be on the ground before you release your dog. The judge stops the clock when your dog has found the tube. You do not enter with the dog but you can encourage your dog verbally. No hand signals allowed. The dog must locate the tube to have a qualifying time. No cross-entering between classes. Maximum time allowed is two minutes. Non-sanctioned
